ESPN RACIST TREATMENT OF PARKER IS WRONG! by Theron K. Cal

It was first brought to my attention on Twitter when someone sent a Tweet asking ; "When did ESPN hire Realbrother?" I can't front, I was flattered after seeing Rob Parker's comments about Washington Redskins quarterback RGIII being a "Cornball Brother" for having a White fiance and rejecting his black race and culture even asking that people don't call him or think of him as black.

I have long been a lone voice against black self-hatred and the belief held by ninety-percent of blacks --99.9% in the UK, Canada & what remains of Nazi Germany-- that our race and culture is simply inferior to that of whites. So to have someone else espouse what I've been saying for years was comforting.

But alas my optimism was tempered when it was announced two days later that Parker had been suspended by ESPN indefinitely for his comments with no real explanation as to why. We learned this week that the suspension will be for thirty days after Parker gave in to white racists at ESPN demanding a retraction of his comments and an apology.

The problem is again apologize for what, not acting like black self-hatred and brothers buying into the myth of genetic white superiority doesn't exist?

Parker in making his comments on the First Take Show was very thorough albeit a bit nervous in explaining his motivation for questioning RGIII's consciousness as a black man.

"We know what happened with Tiger Woods." Parker proclaimed making an excellent point. I couldn't help but think of OJ Simpson on the extreme end of the Sellout spectrum.

The racist nut Skip Bayless who has something negative to say about any black athlete that refuses to date or marry a white woman or swear his allegiance to the white race quickly made reference to RGIII's braids, as if to suggest if Clarence Thomas had nappy dreads he'd be any less of a Herman Cain/Allen West/Tim Scott/Armstrong Williams.

Stephan A. Smith who bills himself as a no nonsense pull no punches independent voice was visibly peturbed with being reminded that he was black offering that the normally vociferous commentator  was indeed uncomfortable with as he put it; "where we are going". Its at that point the You Tube video ends so we never get to see what fully developed thoughts if any Smith had.

I've been monitoring Twitter & the news for any comment from anyone black or white works at ESPN willing to defend the right of blacks to discuss issues that deal with the emotional health and well being of athletes in a month where we lost Jovan Belcher because of those same issues, but alas nothing, not a peep from anyone at ESPN even if to only offer that we should have the discussion. Parker other than his apology dictated by his Corporate Masters hadn't made any comments in fact hasn't used his Twitter account since.

Friday we got a statement from Marcia Keegan, vice president of production for ESPN who oversees "First Take".  She writes:

 "As a direct result, clearly inappropriate content was aired and then re-aired without editing. Both were errors on our part. To address this, we have enhanced the editorial oversight of the show and have taken appropriate disciplinary measures with the personnel responsible for these failures.
"We will continue to discuss important issues in sports on 'First Take,' including race. Debate is an integral part of sports and we will continue to engage in it on 'First Take.' However, we believe what we have learned here and the steps we have taken will help us do all that better."

 The first line of that statement that Parker's comments were inappropriate and that the show was "re-aired" without editing those comments out is not only stupid its dumb. You suspend somebody for inappropriate comments and don't tell them why? And you suspend them in part because YOU re-aired  those comments?

And hell yes its racist for whites to suspend a black commentator for comments that wouldn't have been an issue at all if a white commentator questioned Joe Montana walking out on his white wife with the blond model that was in his shaving commercial. Nobody was suspended over criticizing Tiger Woods for cheating on his white wife and her even assaulting him and vandalizing his Caddy.

Do you blame black commentators for remaining silent in the face of this double standard?

I don't want anyone to lose their job for Rob Parker or RGIII or any single cause and or issue but I do want an honest discussion about white racism, black self-hatred and the myth of white genetic superiority that is holding America back. What Rob Parker said on First Take was the honest to God truth and to condemn him for it was wrong and somebody other than me should have spoken out about it.
