I was elated. Finally someone white said what I and other blacks-- not beholden to the ninety-eight percent Conservative owned media-- were saying for the past six years. Racists oppose, disagree with, don't like, want to shoot up the Batman Movie, Obama Rally at the Tucson Safeway, Sandy Hook, Navy Yard, blow up the Boston Marathon because they are protesting the race of President Barack Obama.

Finally, a white person who can't be accused of being delusional or a race baiter or a hustler playing the race card said not only what blacks have been thinking but what we've known to be true from day one; the Tea Party is simply a fancy new moniker of the Ku Klux Klan. Whew!

The sound you hear are people of color all over the world breathing a sigh of relief because now even whites know the real reason racists oppose America's most accomplished President. But wait, what's this... hold em' up not so fast? What? We're black and that means we're dumb and haven't noticed four-hundred and fifty years of Slavery, Oppression, Discrimination and racism based not on partisan politics or a "glitch" in the Affordable Care Act website but based on the race of six generations of Slaves who were sold and owned as chattel by the very ancestors of the Tea Party? Damn.

Indicative of the ignorance on the right Joe Concha(@ConchSports ) wrote a lame both sides are to blame blog titled Stand Up America and fight anyone who would dare speak of the racist elephant in the room, you can read his piece here: http://www.mediaite.com/online/stand-up-america-racism-for-ratings-a-cottage-industry-that-needs-to-be-stopped/ 

Concha argues that telling the truth about the racist hatred for this President by the Tea Party amounts to "Race Baiting".  He dares anyone to show that four-hundred and fifty years of racism is any proof at all that racists hate Obama because he's black? What do we think this is, reality? No, just because the Confederate flags, Swastika's, hanging effigy's and cries about "a bunch a lazy blacks"  were used by the Klan doesn't make the new improved version anything like the old one.

RACISM 101:

Is he kidding? I've seen this play so many times I can run it better then they can; Demand PROOF that the Tea Party is like the KKK and then when you offer the 450 years of racist tyranny that was letter for letter the same "take our country back" nonsense used by the Klan, they say; That was 450 years ago get over it. We haven't lynched anyone black since Kendrick Johnson and that was months ago. 

And to PROVE that the racism of the Tea Party is nothing like that of its predecessor they have as Exhibit "A" Roland S. Martin (has me blocked on Twitter @rolandsmartin ) who was recently let go from CNN after agreeing to never reveal the real reason why racists oppose President Obama and that deception didn't result

in Romney winning the election so see ya' wouldn't wanna be ya'.

Martin who on his radio program offered; "When the other side does something racist I remain silent and when our side calls them on it I attack them to no end." Something to that effect. Roland Bruh, you ain't at CNN no more you can actually tell the truth its OK we ain't trippin'.

He then argued that the difference between the KKK and the Tea Party is the KKK didn't murder white people who helped register blacks to vote or who advanced Civil & Voting Rights, who FREED THE SLAVES by signing the Emancipation Proclamation. Roland Bruh, check your history were you at CNN or Fox?

Martin finished strong by offering that the KKK didn't accept mentally ill black members willing to shoot up the Navy Yard or run Obama over with their Infinity. The Klan didn't accept blacks willing to take payment for lying on and bashing Obama to no end on Conservative owned media or the Tavis and Dr. West Poverty Pimp Bus Tour. Goes without saying that his attempt at false equivalency failed miserably.

Say it ain't so Joe? You really think we're that stupid to believe that both sides are killing people because the President is black? Are you nuts? There is but one reason racists want us to ignore the obvious comparison between the KKK and the Tea Party and that's so they can complete their mission to frustrate the American people to the point to where they allow racists to "take back their Country" so they can destroy it and blame it on Obama but of course it wasn't because of his race it was because he was a failure.., he failed to stop them from destroying the Country and blaming it on him.

Its so easy for us while taking advantage of right wing delusion and ignorance to conclude that they can't possibly believe that we don't know why they hate this President. New York Times Columnist David Brooks had the most stunning but telling comment I've heard and it was on MSNBC.

And this kinda' stupidity is not exclusive to whites on the right.  Markos Moulitsas Zúniga founder of the left wing site Daily Kos offered this in a recent Tweet: "Finally Obama realized that Republicans hate his guts."

Dude, Obama wouldn't be President today if he didn't know why racists hate his guts. But when you have to run for re-election and whites are as dumb as dirt and will only support you if they think they're smarter than you and the myth of white genetic superiority is safe, you ACT as if you have no idea why the nuts with the Confederate flags stuffed monkey's draped in Obama banners, hang nooses and armed Nazi Nuts at your rallies and why your Campaign Headquarters have their windows shot out.

There is only one reason white racists oppose this President and that's because he's black. Its the only reason that they can't and won't defend. We do this Nation a disservice by giving them a pass because they can't defend racism and throw a fit when called on it.  In Concha's piece he implores fellow racists to DEMAND we PROVE they hate people based on race, but does he offer an alternative? What, you want us to tell you why we hate President Obama as if you don't know? No, we don't know so just for fun why don't you tell us... "Well he's a Muslim Socialist, Marxist, Communist, Fascist, Dictator, Devil born in Kenya." 

That's what we thought.

RB v. BOB COSTAS, REDSKINS NAME

At Halftime on Sunday nights NFL game between the Cowboys & Redskins Bob Costas offered his take on the controversy over the Redskins name which supposedly has offended many Native Americans. You can find the entire commentary here: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/nfl-shutdown-corner/bob-costas-during-halftime-nbc-sunday-night-football-022727321--nfl.html?vp=1?guid=2685739 Costas offers that the term Redskins-- which was used by whites to describe the scalps of Indians killed during manifest destiny--is far more offensive than names like the Chiefs and Braves which "honor" Native Americans. That's my first point of contention with the controversy.

A team name is not about honoring an ethnic group. The Cowboys who scalped the Indians gave them all kinda diseases stole their land and later constituted Slavery of six generations of Africans are being honored? Well damn can the Ku Klux Klan get some love?

Same deal with the Patriots. These Tea Party nuts are trying to destroy this Country Impeach President Obama because he's black and they're being honored by the team from Boston when racists just bombed the marathon to protest the black President?

And hell no I'm not suggesting that racist team names should all be changed to the Freedom Fighters or the LA Uprising or the Carolina New Black Panthers but neither should the Redskins change their name because the offended group is white. Costas talks about offensive names for blacks or Asians but as I said earlier the Cowboys and Patriots haven't been too kind to blacks yet because of racism the thought of changing the names of those teams would be dismissed out of hand.

I totally disagree with any attempt to change the name for offending whites even if they are ethnic whites. Its a slap in the face to allow whites to have a power that isn't afforded to blacks or Asians. How many Native Americans are in the National Football League? No, I'm not making excuses to offend them I'm saying why are they being granted power over team names?

That's what this is all about. The Native American groups want some of that NFL money and I'm not opposed to a one-time payment being made to them in the hopes that they go away and never bring up this lame issue again.

NOBODY is thinking about scalped Indians when we refer to the Washington Redskins and that's right they aren't the Scalped Indians they are the Washington Redskins Football Club period. People like me, Bob Costas and even President Obama(the Black Genius) have no skin in the game(pun intended) so of course we can dismiss the name and not think twice about it or be effected if they change the name to the

Washington Wizards.

Its an insult to us to think people are that stupid to not understand the context of the name or to not allow the name to stand for what it stands for and not what stupid racists in a time long gone thought it to mean. I'm sick of white idiots trying to act as if they give a damn about somebody's feelings who aren't white when their history of racist hatred and oppression continues to this very day.

So no, do not change the name of the Redskins, accept the racist hatred and savagery in your history and vow to never do it again. Don't think you make it right by granting power to other white people who haven't done a damn thing to earn it.

RB v. Dr. Boyce Watkins, Rap Music Boycott

I have to get wit Dr. Boyce Watkins(@drboycewatkins1 ) who recently wrote an op-ed on the Your Black World Website in which he calls for a boycott of Clear Channel Media Entertainment which can be read here:  http://www.yourblackworld.net/2013/10/black-news/dr-boyce-clear-channel-should-be-confronted-for-promotion-of-toxic-music-in-black-communities/    

Dr. Watkins claims the racists(my impression of em') at Clear Channel are poisoning the minds of young black men with music that is making us watch Conservative Owned Media telling us to shoot up the Obama supporters at the Navy Yard or to run over Obama by driving right through the front door of the White House.

What? There's no rap music making mentally ill black people who've bought into the myth that whites are superior go out here and try to shoot up people who voted for Obama or to actually think they can get close enough to the President to run him over in the Infinity?

Well if rap music isn't making blacks go out and shoot up the Batman movie or blow up the Boston Marathon then what's all the fuss over? What? Oh you can't address racists bashing Obama all day 24/7 on the Rush Limbaugh radio show or on any of the other conservative racist shows Clear Channel produces like the white boys John & Ken(KFI 640) here in Los Angeles who were suspended when they called Whitney Houston a "Crack Whore" the day after she passed.

Whites are superior and if you directly address their racist owned media where reporters openly express that its "not their job" to report the truth or facts about the Affordable Care Act then it might affect your ability to eek out a living and we wouldn't want that, is that it Dr. Boykins? Got it. 

Its the height of lameness for blacks frustrated at the hatred that whites have for us and the snails pace at which blacks have achieved equality in this society to attack rappers. Rappers are young, they're black, they're menacing. Who doesn't hate them who wouldn't? Rappers are all Chris Brown...what? He's not a
rapper? Well he should be he's young and black.

Trying to blame the victims or punishing communities or organizations that don't hate their young men and reject the notion that other races are better than them is not the answer. We do the black community a disservice to single out the one area where blacks can make some money and attack it for the poverty and despair in the larger black community.

"I was disappointed that Jasiri thought that I was lumping him together with artists like Lil Wayne and 2 Chainz, for I clearly was not.  But I was glad he asked his question, since it gave me a chance to clarify.  I immediately responded to his comment by saying, “No brother, I was referring to that bullsh*t on the radio.”"  ~Dr. Boyce Watkins

I wrote and voiced a musical documentary on 2-Chainz who I admit I had no idea who he even was let alone whether or not there would be enough information of him online to make a ninety-minute documentary. Yet I learned that he started making mixed tapes and would give sample songs away for free on YouTube and I-Tunes.

In a relatively short time 2-Chainz was one of the top selling artists on I-Tunes with hundreds of thousands of SALES of his mixed tapes of original music. 2-Chainz is a millionaire and trust if his music is now being played on the radio it can't be that offensive. I recently saw him on MSNBC and on the Arsenio Hall Show.


For whatever Dr. Boykins may think of the most successful rappers the message is not one of get high and self-destruct. Its not go out to the mall in Kenya and shoot up the Infidel's either. No its poverty and hopelessness that create violence and anti-social behavior in urban communities. The last thing we want to do is confuse a desire to use ones race and culture to come up with the racist hatred that whites have for anything and all things young and black.

I promise you if a young Barack Obama cut his afro, pulled his bell bottoms up got educated and became President of the United States there'd still be plenty of white racists who would find something about his race to use as an excuse to shutdown the Government to voice their displeasure with him. No we need to stop scapegoating young blacks for doing what Justin Beiber or Gangum Style from Korea would do if given the chance.

I'd love to live in a world where blacks owned and operated everything and we could exploit our culture from Grand Theft Auto to the music that's played on the radio. We don't live in that world, we never will. We can however not look at how others view us as the only measure of our self worth or as our source of income. 

Blacks have to stop thinking that our only motivation for doing something is to hurt other blacks or ourselves. We mustn't live our lives hoping for the approval of whites who hate us just because. We are not a degenerate inferior people but that's exactly what society thinks of us and they will continue to think of us in this way not until we all become white but until we stop thinking of ourselves in this way.

Played all the way out rap music will evolve and be seen for what it is; entertainment and not just something blacks we hate, who make us feel uncomfortable do to embarrass us. Its not about who we are and how we're perceived by racists-- who'll hate us regardless-- its about the ability, the right to exploit our own black culture and not allow that to define us. Its possible its gonna happen whether you like it or not.

Finally, a boycott of urban formatted radio stations won't force Clear Channel to play Harry Belefonte on an endless loop. They aren't going to commission positive black music(whatever the hell that is, hell if it sells its positive if it don't its garbage). No all a boycott does is let the white boys know you Needtogrows are too much trouble to even be bothered with so let's turn it into a sports station and talk about how we can get more white players in the NBA.

No stop talking down to these rappers and talk to them for a change. If we boycott anything let's boycott scapegoating rappers or the radio stations that give them voice.
